Year 2 Learning Journal

Welcome to Y2! Your teachers this year are Mrs Chadwick and Miss Moffatt. We also have Mrs March and Miss Mercer to help us with our learning.

We hope this year is going to be lots of fun as we have many exciting themes planned. In the Autumn term we will be learning all about London and its history. In Spring we will be learning about animals’ habitats and in the Summer term our theme will be about recycling!

As this is the end of KS1, we will be doing lots of learning to prepare ourselves for SATs but we will still be having plenty of fun. We would appreciate your support by reading with your child on a regular basis, completing your weekly spellings, weekly maths challenges, having a go at our termly home learning challenges and discussing what your child has learnt each day.

Our class PE days are Wednesday and Friday for both classes. Please make sure your child has the correct PE kit on these days, has their hair tied back and earrings and jewellery are removed.

We have lots of exciting trips planned as well as our termly exhibitions to show case our amazing learning so look out for these dates nearer the time.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, please feel free to speak to any of the Y2 team.
You can follow us all on twitter for regular updates about what we have been doing. @MrsChadwickMP1 @MissMoffattMP1 @MrsMarchMP1
