Y4 Starlings
Welcome to Year 4 Starlings!
Our classroom is in the middle of the upstairs corridor. Teaching in Year 4 Starlings this year is Miss Crump, with the support of Miss Plummer. In class we are rewarded with house points, table points and dojos for following Mansel’s school rules. EveryFriday afternoon we will have a celebration assembly to celebrate the children's success' for the week.
We’re starting the school year focusing on place value in Maths and working on recounts in English, later on in the term we will be focusing on addition and subtraction. To start this year we are learning ‘All About Me’ focusing on our emotions and self-confidence, linking this to our literacy book 'Something Else'. We have a Maths, Literacy and Vocab board in our classroom, which we keep up to date with useful resources and children’s learning. In Science we are focusing on all aspects of the digestive system and food chains.
We are looking forward to the year ahead and the new challenges it will bring.
P.E days: Mondays and Thursdays
Reading: minimum 3 times a week, Bug Club is also available
Home learning: these will be given out termly
