Admissions
Two year old nursery, SCSP offers Free childcare for two year olds through our two year old provision. The provision is hosted on behalf of the Trust at Mansel Primary. The government is currently funding childcare for 2 years olds for certain groups. For further details, or to check if you are eligible, visit the education section on www.sheffield.gov.uk. To place your child on our waiting list please ask at the main school office at any SCSP Academy for a pupil admission form.
Nursery (Foundation stage one) admissions are handled through Mansel’s school office. Our nursery setting is a 39 place nursery that offers 3hour sessions both morning and afternoon and also 2.5 days at the beginning or end of the week term time only. Pupils can access 15 hours under the FEL (Free Early Learning funding). To register your child’s details please contact the school office for a pupil admission form. Your child will be eligible for a place the term after their third birthday.
Admissions to Mansel Primary including Reception (Foundation stage two), Year 1 to Year 6 are handled through Sheffield City Council's Primary school admissions department. Our school office can give you guidance on any pupil admission into these year groups. Please see our admissions page for more details.
Once you have registered with Sheffield City Council primary admissions, they will allocate you a space and contact Mansel to inform them your place has been issued. You should then receive a phone call from Mansel to arrange an induction meeting and visit to school for your pupil and family. If you would like to look round school before registering your place, please contact the main school office where we will be happy to make this appointment for you. To ensure a smooth transition into school, Mansel ensures that all support for your child is in place before they start, this can include; medical information, safeguarding, child protection and any pupil requirements i.e. SEN/behaviour.
